Revitalizing the Maritime Industry of Critical Global Importance

Partners Joining to Support National, Energy and Economic Security

Not since the Second World War has the maritime industry been so recognized as critical to national, economic and energy security. The United States’ vulnerabilities are being played out in global trade and defense concerns. That is why SHIPPINGInsight is focusing on its revitalization October 15-16 at the Houston Marriott South near Hobby Airport. The event will feature an all-day conference on October 15th, including SHIPPINGInsight’s signature SHARK TANK, with an invitation-only Leadership Forum on October 16th to share information and build collaborations for this important work.

This year’s conference will focus on “Revitalizing the US Maritime Industry: Next Steps”, considering the activity surrounding the SHIPS for America Act and the Executive Order, whose reports will have been filed by the time of the conference. The Leadership Forum intends to address building collaborations leading to implementation by key stakeholders. Chairing the event will be Darren Shelton, Sales Director Moran Shipping Agencies and VP/Co-Founder FuelTrust.

SHIPPINGInsight is currently inviting partners who support this mission to join the discussion. Two Platinum Partners, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Moran Shipping Agencies, have already accepted the invitation to contribute towards the solutions-oriented program which will include the following:

October 15th-

• Houston’s Role in Global Maritime
• The Demand Signals-
• The Supply Opportunities
• Innovation is Key
• SHARK TANK

October 16th –

“We need to come together as a global maritime community of thought leaders, shipowners, government, OEMs and service providers to support the efforts of the US to revitalize its maritime industry” stated SHIPPINGInsight Chief Evolution Officer, Carleen Lyden Walker. “We are at a pivotal moment in our global ecosystem where opportunity abounds and we can join forces to create a strong, vibrant US maritime industry.”
