Jorge Gonzalez, Merchant Marine Engineer Officer. I am 49 years old. I’m from Venezuela. My current rank is Chief Engineer Unlimited STCW A- III-2 / (2nd Eng). More than 25 years of experience as an engineer officer on board different types of merchant ships (marine engineer, 2nd Eng and Chief Engineer). Worldwide maritime expertise (Emission Control Area/ECA). SOLAS and Marpol knowledge. I have experience in dry docks and shipyard repairs (Spain, Bulgaria, Curaçao, Portugal, T&T, Venezuela). Experience working with people from different cultures and nationalities. Experience in PSC inspections, Vetting and more (flag change).
Among my strengths are responsibility in all my functions, punctuality and always having a good attitude every day. High knowledge on all preventive and corrective maintenance in all systems of any type of vessel as well as cargo as well as recreational craft, passenger and small boats.
Expert in maritime safety and security. High theoretical and practical knowledge of safety culture in the work area and environmentally safe practices. Skills and abilities acquired during the professional career in the nautical-maritime field as well as in the oil and gas industry.
